Community Hospital East
Community Hospital East is a comprehensive acute care facility with 257 staffed beds. The hospital and its staff have been recognized nationally with numerous awards for clinical excellence and quality improvements. Opened in 1956, Community East is the network's flagship hospital and home for Hook Rehabilitation, Stroke Center of Excellence, Inpatient Geriatric Psychiatry, Center for Wound Healing, inpatient hospice and the Center for Interventional Radiology with some of the latest technology available including the Clinac iX linear accelerator. Community East has invested significant resources to ensure access to the latest medical technologies and services, including open MRI, an all-new radiation oncology center, a new emergency room waiting area, additional of concierge services and wireless internet access for patient and staff.
