Community Hospital South
With a vast array of surgical capabilities, maternity care, emergency room services and cardiovascular care, Community Hospital South provides excellent care for the residents of southern Marion and Johnson Counties. Community South is conveniently located just 10 minutes south of the Indianapolis metro area in Greenwood, Indiana where population is expected to grow by 9% within the next 5 years.  South Central Indiana is growing so we are expanding to keep up with the demand of health care services.  During the past two years, inpatient volumes have increased 20% at Community Hospital South.  Major expansion projects at Community Hospital South include a recent project that doubled the size of the surgery center and the recently completed expansion of the emergency department featuring a 19,000-square-foot addition including sixteen more private patient rooms and all private triage rooms. Community Hospital South has also recently announced a $130 million dollar expansion to add 194,000-square-feet to the hospital.
